Visma Ski Classics launches for the next season the concept Ski Classics Challengers and will to a greater extent highlight the exisiting concept as Visma Ski Classics Pro Tour. Ranking based on the points from the races will also include recreational / hobbyist skiers.
Visma Ski Classics writes in their press release that they are now introducing the concept Challengers, which is supposed to give more organizers the opportunity to become part of the Visma Ski Classics-concept. The participants in the Visma Ski Classics Pro Tour can participate also here to collect more points and improve their ranking.
Also open to recreational skiers
The Challenger-races will be promoted on Visma Ski Classics´ home pages, the results will be uploaded to the Visma datamase and web pages. And besides, recreational/hobbyist skiers can create an account, log-in, and among other compare ranking with friends, neighbors and more.
The Challenger-races will have a minimum distance of 30 km (Pro Tour have min. 50 km.) and will include both free technique and classic technique.
Starts in May
According to the information from Visma Ski Classics the Challenger races will start already 1st may and thus it can seem as they plan to include also roller ski races.
